Saudi Prince awarded Madara order, interested in investing in Bulgaria

Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, of the royal house of Saud and president of Kingdom Holding company, is on an official visit to Bulgaria on the invitation of Vice-President, Angel Marin and was awarded the Order First Degree "Madara Rider"  his contributions to the economic relations between the two countries.

Concurrently, the prince has said he contemplates investing more in tourism and hotels, in a discussion with Economy and Energy minister, Petar Dimitrov on June 1.

On Wednesday, Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov and first lady, Zokra Purvanova, met the royal couple at the President's office.

The Saudi prince has vowed that within a month a business delegation will be dispatched to Bulgaria that will meet Bulgarian business and administration officials.

The main concern, which was addressed during the official meeting between Purvanov and the Prince, CEO of the Kingdom Holding company, was the enterprise to increase co-operation between the two countries in the tourist sector and accrue further investment.

The Kingdom Holding company is a powerful global investment organisation, investing in financial institutions, telecommunications projects, hotel chains and media.
