Sand figures were carved as part of an outdoor exhibition in the Sea Garden of Bourgas, Bulgarian news agency BTA said.

Some of the figures were eight metres in height.

The exhibition would remain open throughout the summer.

The sand figure festival was organised for the second year. In the first year, some of the figures survived more than three months, BTA said.
