The Greek coastguard in Thessaloníki has arrested four Bulgarian citizens in possession of weapons, explosives and a quantity of cocaine.

The men offered to sell a Greek undercover officer four pistols equipped with suppressors, an AK47 assault rifle, 1.4 kg of TNT and 5.4 kg ammonium nitrate which is used to make improvised explosive devices.

According to Associated Press, the Bulgarians were trying to sell the goods to criminal or terrorist organisations.

Greek authorities reckon the Bulgarians would have sold the hardware to local criminal establishments. They were, however, reportedly more concerned by the fact that a Greek terrorist organisation had expressed interest in the shipment.
