According to Interior Minister Mihail Mikov, 73 tip-offs about vote-buying had been received.

However, of these, 21 had been found groundless, Mikov said.

Thirty tip-offs were still being looked into by the prosecution, while nine had reached the stage of pre-trial proceedings, Mikov said.

According to Mikov, two tip-offs regarded organised vote-buying, although he declined to say which political party was involved.

Arrests had been made, Mikov said, refusing to disclose further details.
