Motley Crue plan a grandiose show in Kaliakra

American glam-metal band, Motley Crue will perform at the Kaliakra Rock Fest on July 1 2009 backed by half a lorry packed with pyrotechnics. This will be the first ever show for Tommy Lee and and the band on Bulgarian soil. The show is part of their latest Saints of Los Angeles album, and the promotional tour is entitled Crue Fest Stage. Accordingly, the 'custom made' stage in Kaliakra, which will accommodate all the lighting and pyrotechnics, will be aptly named the Crue Fest Stage.

The tour commemorates the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's vintage classing, Dr Feelgood – arguably, the band's best ever release.

The European leg of their tour commences on June 2 in Moscow, in Club B1. The Kavarna show will be the first opportunity for  Bulgarian fans to see Vince Neil (vocals), Mick Mars (guitars), Nikki Sixx (bass) and Tommy Lee (drums). This will be the band's last European concert, before the American leg of the tour begins.

Kaliakra Rock Fest will be held for the fourth consecutive year. Scheduled to last from July 1-3, the headliners on the first day will be Motley Crue, followed by the German rock legends Scorpions, who will headline on July 2, supported by the German power metal band, Blind Guardian.

On the final night of the festival, Dream Theater will hit the stage, supported by the progressive band Cynic.

Tickets for the festival are available at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) ticket centre, or on line at www.ticketstream.bg and www.eventim.bg

A single day's ticket is priced at 55 leva. A package ticket for the three-day event will cost 100 leva.

i think its awesome that motley crue are playing a concert in bulgaria on july 1 as part of their european tour on their saints of los angeles tour of their first leg of the tour i saw motley crue in concert earlier this year in feb in alabama on their saints of los angeles tour their cocncert was awesome they were the headliners on their winter tour they played a good set of songs they kicked ass as usual i think their the beast metal band ever their my favorite band of all time
