As part of a Balkan tour, 1970s disco legends Boney M, best known for songs like Daddy Cool and Rivers of Babylon, will be playing five concerts in Bulgaria, organisers Art BG announced.

The Bulgarian leg of the tour, for which original group member Maizie Williams will bring a 12-strong orchestra, is to kick off at the summer theatre in Dobrich on June 29, Bulgarian daily Dnevnik said.

Other cities where Williams and her band will be performing include Varna, Bourgas, Shoumen and Doupnitsa, after which the band will leave for Bucharest.

Since the group's breakup and a subsequent row over ownership of the band-name, former band members have been performing separately under the Boney M name. In 2008, Williams performed two concerts in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia, which were sold out a month prior to the event.

Tickets for the concert in Dobrich will go on sale on May 30 at prices between 10 and 15 leva, organisers said.
