Two youths stabbed to death in a fight in Sofia

Two young men died after a fight outside a Sofia night club in the early hours of April 19 2009, Bulgarian Focus news agency said.
 
During a fight between two groups of young men, two men were stabbed in the back and died. One of the victims was identified as Kiril Vazharov (21), goalkeeper of Bulgaria’s national ice hockey team.
 
The news about his death was confirmed by his ice hockey club Slavia. The name of the other victim, aged 24, has not been released. The attacker left the scene in a taxi.
 
Interior Ministry said that video cameras on Pozitano Street where the fight took place recorded the licence plate of the taxi. Police have interviewed the taxi driver for information about the location to which the attacker was taken.

I'm so sorry for these young men and their families. There must be some justice in this country. I'm totally against this government and the police not doing its job...

What a tragedy, so young and there whole lives ahead of them, over what, a stupid fight or perhaps some Muntri going a little to far? Bulgarians, you need to get mad as hell and not take it anymore. My heart goes out to the family's and friends of these young men. I also hope that justice is served on the person that did this horrible crime and justice should be swif and bring back the death penalty. This is a perfect case for it.

Club Amnesia one step closer to being torn down

Nightclub owners say they want to help improve students' security

Mutri is Bulgarian slang for thick-necked mafia heavies, often driving black 4x4s.
