Bulgaria's national football team drew 1-1 with Ireland in their World Cup qualifying match at Croke Park in Dublin on March 28 2009, to keep their hopes of grabbing the second spot in their group. Italy tops the group with 13 points from five matches, with Ireland on second with 11 from five games. Not all is lost for Bulgaria, though, who have four points from four, but face a easier home stretch with most matches at home, but will need Italy's help when the top two team meet in Bari on April 1.
