A moderate Indian Muslim policeman discovers to his horror that his wife, who had recently been killed in a terrorist bomb blast, was now accused of being a perpetrator as opposed to a victim of that very same crime.

No other cinema blends passion, drama and, in some cases, even politics, the way Indian cinema does. To European tastes the ingredients are all over the top, but to fans of Indian cinema, it is simply, like many of its stars, larger than life.

Pozor and Euro Cinema start a series called Bollywood Evenings in which two Bollywood films will be presented every month.

On March 29, the series starts with Dus Kahaniyaan (meaning 10 tales in Urdu). Dus Kahaniyaan is a 2007 anthology Indian film comprising 10 short films, telling 10 different stories from six directors.

One of the stories is Matrimony, directed by Sanjay Gupta and inspired by Roald Dahl's short story Mrs Bixby and the Colonel's Coat.
Another story, about a Brahmin widow and her chance encounters while on a trip to visit her grandchildren by train, called Rice Plate, is directed by Rohit Roy and features two of India's leading actors; Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi.

In a third story, Sex on the Beach by director Apoorva Lakhia, Indian model turned actress Tarina Patel plays a seductress who invites the hero of the film, played by Dino Morea, to her place for dinner. But things do not quite work out the way he expected them to.

Two days after the start of the Bollywood evenings, on April 1, Dhokha will be shown.

Dhokha is the story of a moderate Indian Muslim policeman who discovers that his wife stands accused of perpetrating a bomb attack. He decides to go on a trip to find out whether his devout Muslim wife was really a terrorist or the victim of a deep-rooted conspiracy.
