Although left with one man short from before the end of the first half, Levski Sofia beat host Hristo Botev 0:1 in Plovdiv and maintains its first position in the A group.

It was Macedonian national Darko Tasevski who scored the only goal in the 19th minute after a pass from Hristo Yovov.

Only seconds before the end of the fist half, Levski lost Jordan Miliev when he ran into his second yellow card.

In the 88th minute, it was Botev's Lilcho Arsov who got his second yellow card for obstructing Georgi Iavnov-Gonzo and left his team with 10 players on the field.

Botev coach Kostadin Angelov was not happy with the result and could not find a justification for his team's failure to exploit the one man advantage it had for 40 minutes.

"I am not happy with this match. We have to find a way out of this crisis," Angelov was quoted by Bulgarian daily Dnevnik as saying.
