Mötley Crüe, the bad boys of the American hard rock, are coming to Bulgaria for the first time on July 1 2009. They will participate in the third edition of Kavarna Rock Fest 2009, organised by the municipality of the small Black Sea town.
Founded in 1981 by Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee in Los Angeles, the band went through some wild times of breakups and reunions. Their Bulgarian fans will meet all four original members - Vince Neil (vocals), Mick Mars (guitar), Nikki Sixx (bass) and Tommy Lee (drums).
Mötley Crüe will present their ninth album Saints of Los Angeles, recorded in 2008 after a pause of eight years. Last summer, they embarked on the Crüe Fest tour in North America and receiving whole lot of love from their fans, the band decided to go on a Crüe Fest 2 tour, beginning in the end of July 2009.
The musicians also celebrate 20 years since the release of their most successful album to date, Dr. Feelgood (1989). It is their only album to reach the top of Billboard charts and sales of more than six million copies.
Some of their best known albums also include Too Fast for Love (1982) and Girls, Girls, Girls (1987).
Throughout their career, Mötley Crüe have sold more than 80 million albums worldwide, have three Grammy nomination, last one of which from this-year's ceremony in the Best Hard Rock Performance category.
Kavarna Rock Fest 2009 runs July 1-3 and tickets go on sale in mid-March.
