Cinema City steps in Plovdiv

Cinema City will open its first theatre in Plovdiv on the premises of the new Mall Plovdiv on March 20, Dnevnik daily reported on March 9 2009.

The company will offer a total of 11 cinema halls with a total 1663 seats, and two of the halls will be equipped with D-Cinema systems for digital 3D screenings. Cinema City has 12 halls operating in Mall of Sofia since 2006. The chain has 63 multiplexes in Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Israel and the Czech Republic with 43 more under way.

Construction of Mall Plovdiv started in the beginning of 2007 on a total area of 45000 sq m and for an investment of 45 million euro.

Some of the tenants include Mango, Esprit, XYZ, Terranova, Calliope, Mexx, Tom Tailor, Adidas, Replay, Levi's, Fox, Pierre Cardin, Guru, Beauty Zone, L'Occitane, Swarovski, Costa Coffee, Coffee Republic, KFC, McDonald's, and Ciela.

Cinema City sells two mall projects in Bulgaria for 85 million euro

The deal is valued at 85 million euro and covers the Маll of Rousse and Mall of Stara Zagora projects. According to the seller's preliminary plans, it should be completed this year.
