English Premier League: Skipper John Terry gives full support to Scolari, Chelsea divided

In light of the departure of World Cup winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, there is a rift growing in the Chelsea camp between those who supported Abramovich's decision and those who wanted the Brazilian master tactician to stay.

It was Chelsea captain John Terry who revealed the divisions in the Stamford Bridge dressing room. He was also quite open about expressing his shock and bewilderment at the sacking of manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

"He had my full support. I'm sure two or three of the other players would say the same," said the midfielder, as quoted by the BBC.

"I was shocked by what's happened. I have sympathy for Scolari. He's a great man but we weren't playing well and that, unfortunately, falls on his head. Maybe it should have fallen more on the players," added Terry.

Chelsea registered their second defeat to Liverpool in the season, the first double the Merseysiders had managed over "Chelski" since the so-called Russian Revolution and the arrival of the "Special One". But what further exacerbated the situation was that Chelsea only managed to retrieve eight points from their last six Premier League games and had fallen to fourth place in the league.

"At end of the day it's all about results, and, unfortunately for Scolari, they didn't come," added Terry.

Meanwhile, according to the Chelsea official website, Stamford Bridge can confirm that compensation has been agreed for Thursday, February 11 with Luiz Felipe Scolari in accordance with the terms of his prematurely terminated contract.

The compensation agreement will also cover his backroom staff, Flavio Teixeira, Darlan Schneider and Carlos Pracidelli.

The Chelsea statement ends with: "We would like to thank them for their work at Chelsea".

Scolari is a good manager, but the reason why did chelsea appoint him, maybe it is because he won the world cup 02 for brazil. when mourinho managed chelsea a lot of titles but, when he lefted we won zero and ithik guus hiddink can do it like that.

some players should have gone instead of the coach.
