During her two day visit, Plugchieva will meet the deputy chairman of the European Commission Gunter Ferhoigen, European agricultural commissioner, Mariann Fischer Boel, European commissioner of engagement , Vladimir Shpidla, and the European commissioner for fishing and maritime, Jo Borg. Dnevnik daily reports.

Plugchieva will also hold discussions with the general director of the general directive Expansion in the European Commission, Michael Lee.

The Deputy Premier will inform members of the European Commission of the development Bulgaria has made in regard to the operative programmes in the last few months. She will present the package of measures hammered out by the Bulgarian government to re-evaluate thoroughly how European funds will be processed and implemented in the future. Plugchieva will also discuss options for Bulgaria to receive funds blocked by the European commission, as well as measures enacted by the Bulgarian government to ensure that once they arrive in Bulgaria, they will be spent.
