American rap singer Ice Cube will have a concert in Bulgaria on April 13 2009 in Sofia's Universiada hall starting 8pm, Sofia Music Enterprises promoter company said on February 3 2009.
The sale of tickets for the show will start on February 5 2009 and will cost 40 leva each. You can buy tickets at the National Palace of Culture (NDK), the shops of Ticketpro and the Euro-Bulgarian Cultural Centre, among others.
In the Black Sea city of Bourgas tickets will be sold at the Sound Garden shop, while in Veliko Turnovo you can buy them at Medouza shop.
The online sale will happen on ticketpro.bg website. Tickets sold on the day of the concert will cost 50 leva.
Born in 1969 in Los Angeles under the name O'Shea Jackson, Ice Cube is considered one of the fathers of gangsta rap and a popular West Coast rapper. Besides his musical career he has acted in several movies. Among the most popular were Friday, Next Friday, Friday After Next and Three Kings alongside George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg.
Cypress Hill lead-rapper B-Real is to perform at Bulgaria's Cacao Beach in August 2009. Among the star's modest requests was "a beautiful Bulgarian girl, possibly miss Bulgaria."
After long years of waiting, Madonna will finally have concert in Bulgaria after the singer decided to extend her Sticky&Sweet Tour in Europe, Madonna's website said on January 30 2009. The launch of this year's part of the tour that started in 2008 will be on July 4 in London. Stops will include appearances in places where Madonna never played before, such as Werchter in Belgium, Marseille in France, Hamburg in Germany, Oslo in Norway, Helsinki in Finland, Tallinn in Estonia, Ljubljana in Slovenia as well as stops in Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria, it has been confirmed by Live Nation, Madonna's website said.
Cousins Johanna Debreczeni and Jouni Keronen are Finland's most famous practitioners of tango.
The playlist included Chatanooga Choo Choo, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Sing Sing sing, Rum and Coca Cola, Shoo Shoo Baby, Tico Tico, Michael Jackson's Blame it on the Boogie.
Radostina Nikolaeva plays Tosca, Kostadin Andreev plays Mario Cavaradossi and Biser Georgiev plays Baron Scarpia.
Special guest performer was conductor and violinist Maxim Eshkenazy, musical director of the festival and its founder.
