Eight bosses from Sofiiski Imoti indicted

A total of 13 people from the municipal company Sofiiski Imoti, (Sofia real estate), have been accused of causing two million leva worth of damages by Sofia City Court on December 3. Eight of the accused are former members of Sofiiski's council of directors. The other five were licensed appraisers.

The accused are the former municipal advisor who also stood on the board of the company, Stanimir Zashev and Toshko Dobrev, a former director of the company. Also accused are another former director, Petar Savov, and former members of the council of directors Milen Minchev, Stoyan Yanev, Lubomir Ivanov, Ina Stancheva and Emilia Bakurdzhieva. The accused appraisers who still hold a licence are Milena Vladimirova, Nikolai Daupov, Margaritka Grigorova-Nikolova, Svetoslav Simeonov and Detelina Miliova.

The defendants stand accused of misconduct perpetrated in the period 2003-2004. The cumulative damage sustained by Sofiiski Imoti amounts to 2007 946 leva.

The trial will be conducted under the auspices of the Sofia city prosecution in accordance with the anti-mafia act.
