Traffic jams in Sofia could be a lot worse than they are, Deputy Sofia mayor in charge of Transport Velizar Stoilov said in the morning show of private broadcaster bTV. Three factors came into play in jams: the number of vehicles, the infrastructure itself and the attitude of drivers. Bulgarians, Stoilov added, had "more of an oriental type mentality, and they don't obey the rules all."
The current problems being experience by the heating companies should not be made political, Dimitar Buchvarov, deputy leader of Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria (DSB) told Bulgarian National Television (BNT). He said that the issues should be left for company directors to sort out.
The National Protection Service head should resign, DSB member of Parliament Atanas Atanassov told private broadcaster Nova Television.
