American Chase Buchanan will play against Bulgaria's young tennis star Grigor Dimitrov in the quarterfinals of 2008 US Open junior tennis tournament. On September 4 2008, Dimitrov made yet another step towards winning the second junior Grand Slam trophy in his career to add to the Wimbledon title won earlier this year.

In the third round of the US Open, Dimitrov had little trouble against Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador and won the game in straight sets (6-3, 6-4).

Before that, Dimitrov won against American Ty Tombetta, also in two sets. Until now, neither of Dimitrov's opponents have managed to challenge his serve, which has been the reason why he has had a relatively easy time at the tournament so far.

In the semis, Dimitrov will face the winner of the game between Tsung-Hua Yang from Taiwan and American Rhyne Williams.

The way the tournament is developing, it seems that Dimitrov is two steps away from facing his opponent in the Wimbledon final, Finland's Henri Kontinen. On July 6, Dimitrov beat Kontinen at Wimbledon in two sets (7-5, 6-3) to grab the title.

The Finn will play his quarterfinal match against Serbian Filip Krajinovic, with the winner progressing to meet either Germany's Cedrik-Marcel Stebe or American Devin Britton in the semi-final.
