For several years already, summer in Bulgaria is nothing without some really hard rock evenings, provided by the Kaliakra Rock Fest.
After bringing Halloween, Twisted Sister, Heaven and Hell, Motorhead and Manowar, the organisers this time managed to attract Alice Cooper, Slayer, In Flames and Holyhell. Manowar and Sixth Sense, on the other hand, liked it so much here last year, so that they decided to drop by again. And they liked their warm up band too, so they decided to bring them as well.
The show begins of July 5 with Sixth Sense and Holyhell. Once they are done and the fans are already exalted, Manowar will rock the stage. Those who remember their show in the summer of 2007, know that it is worth seeing the band in the flesh. Those who don't it is probably time to go and see it.
Moreover, a Bulgarian symphonic orchestra will play together with the band, to make things even more exciting. If that is not enough, pay attention to the fact that Manowar promised to make a special gesture for the Bulgarian fans and to perform their new single Die With Honor for the first time in life in Bulgaria.
Having no time for rest, the fest continues on July 6 with one of the darkest characters on world music scene, shock rock inventor Alice Cooper. As Cooper is known for his performances features guillotines, electric chairs and a lot of fake blood, any high expectations for a night to remember are not unreasonable.
In Flames and Slayer will put an end of this-year's festival on July 7. In Flames are for the first time in Bulgaria and will try to prove why the heavy metal magazine Metal Hammer pronounced them the Best International Band
All concerts will be held at 8pm at Kaliakra Stadium in Kavarna. Tickets are available via ticketstream.bg and in the National Palace of Culture ticket desk at the price of 50, 70 an 90 leva for respectively one-, two- or three-day pass.
