Metropolis, one of the originals on the Bulgarian electronic music scene, is celebrating its 12th birthday on April 19 with a bash at which British DJ Carl Cox will spin. The party will be held at the Zimen Dvorets na Sporta (Winter Palace of Sport) in Studentski Grad in Sofia.
This will be Cox's third visit to Bulgaria, his most recent being in December 2004, when the nine-hour show for 5000 fans, with Bulgarian band Gravity Co as the warm-up act, was considered Metropolis' best party ever.
Cox will be accompanied on his April 19 flight from Bucharest to Sofia Airport by Denitsa Georgieva, the finalist from Music Idol 2; from there the house and techno DJ will travel to the hotel Arena di Serdica, where he will give a news conference before his gig starts.
Tickets, if any remain, are available at ticketstream.bg.
DJ Sasha will perform in Bulgaria on May 16 following the release of his much anticipated and acclaimed latest album, Invol2ver
