A Bulgarian citizen has been arrested in Brindisi, Italy, for transporting 32 000 counterfeit brand metal buttons, worth 100 000 euro, ilRoma.net said.

The goods were seized by Brindisi customs officials working together with the finance police when the ship was in the Costa Morena port, where it arrived from Greece.

The police believe the shipment was going to a clandestine facility producing counterfeit clothing and is investigating its intended destination.
