Bulgaria's transport system was functioning normally under winter conditions, the press office of the Transport and Communications Ministry announced on January 18.
All Danube river ports were functioning under normal visibility. There was some ice-break at Silistra, Focus news agency said.
Bourgas port is open, but Varna port is closed as from 12.30pm on January 18 because of the fog.
Sofia Airport is open. At Varna Airport visibility is only 1200 m and only take off is possible. The visibility at Plovdiv Airport is 500m and allows only take off as well.
The airports in Bourgas and Gorna Oryahovitsa are working normally.
Works will be reviewed by a group of judges, and winners will receive certificates and prizes.
