BULGARIAN TEACHERS' STRIKE TO CONTINUE ON 24TH DAY

Teachers have announced they will continue their strike for the 24th day on October 25 2007 with a meeting on Ploshtad Nezavisimost (Independence Square) in Sofia.

After negotiations with Eduction Ministry on October 24, protesters announced the strike would continue.

In Pernik teacher have announced they would block the E79 road near the village of Dragichevo.

In Rousse, teachers announced they would block the bridge over the Danube at 12.00 on October 25.
The strike committee said the protests would move towards the border as no one in Bulgaria seemed to be listening to the teachers.
