Nevena Tsoneva, 20, from the small town of Sevlievo won the first edition of Music Idol in Bulgaria.
Tsoneva received 62.5 per cent of the audience vote.
Teodor Koichinov from Stara Zagora was Tsoneva's rival in the final. The two finalists had to pass three stages in the conclusive show.
In the beginning both performed their favourite songs. Tsoneva sang Christina Aguilera's The Voice Within, while Koichinov chose Esta Ausencia of the Spanish singer David Bisbal.
Finalists also had to perform a song selected by the audience, in the case Queen's The Show Must Go On.
Tsoneva received a contract with Universal Music Virginia Records to record at least one album. She will also travel to London to meet famous producers and performers.
Learning that she is the winner, Tsoneva performed one of the most difficult Bulgarian folk songs Izlyal e Delio Haidutin.
