Thu, Sep 14 2006 10:43 CET 402 Views

Nine Thracian gold treasures would be shown in the National Museum of  History (NMH) in Sofia, Darik Radio reported.

The exhibition would be open from September 24 to October 8 2006. This would be the last chance for the Bulgarians to see the treasures, which would be presented around the world in the coming years.

The treasures would leave for the Jacquemart Andre Museum in Paris on October 10. Later they would be shown in Switzerland, Darik said.

Bulgarians were increasingly interested in their history, NMH directror Bozhidar Dimitrov said. Because of the interest, NMH's decided to expose the treasures even for a short period, he said.

Three more recently found Thracian treasures would remain in Bulgaria. Among them was the Sinemorets gold treasure discovered in August 2006, Darik said.
