Mon, Jul 11 2005 02:00 CET 591 Views

FIFTY-THREE golfers participated in the Second Bushmills Tournament on Sunday, July 3 at St. Sofia Golf Club & Spa.
Half of the golfers had already finished their rounds when the rain started, but it did not dampen the spirits.
Zhivko Tenev, a member of St. Sofia Golf Club & Spa and winner of the First Bushmills Tournament played brilliantly again to win the second tournament. Second place went to Miroslav Kaneti and third, Elena Kotirkova, also members of St. Sofia Golf Club & Spa.
The Nearest to the Pin prize was taken by Roberto Mladenov and Longest Drive by David Brady. The Prizes for the winners were presented by Andrew Sowray, country manager of Pernod Ricard, authorised importer and distributor of Bushmills Irish Whiskey and sponsor of the tournament.
The Second Bushmills Tournament was part of the Bushmills Summer Series of Golf. The competition takes place over five rounds of golf; the third and fourth rounds will be held on July 23 and 24 in Klassis Golf & Country Club, Turkey and the final fifth round on September 11 at St. Sofia Golf Club & Spa.
The winners will be the top two players with the highest combined scores from four of the five rounds, and one golfer that complete all five rounds will be drawn out of the hat to join them in an all expenses paid trip to Ireland to play on two of the most famous golf courses in the world, visit the Bushmills Distillery and experience real Irish hospitality.
