The major UK pop house formation Faithless will have a concert on Friday April 16 at the Winter Sports Palace in Sofia.

The concert is organised by the Prima Agency and will start at 8 pm.

It is a part of the tour supporting Faithless' new album, Forever Faithless, which contains original songs by David Bowie and the soul legend Nina Simone. The British reggae performer LSK is also included in some of the new songs.

Faithless was created in 1995 by Rollo Armstrong, one of the first house musicians in the UK and a talented producer, and Sister Bliss (Ayalah Bentovim), one of the first women DJs in the UK and a producer.

Later in the same year Faithless were joined by the rapper Maxi Jazz (Maxwell Frazer), who became the leading vocalist of the group, the singer Jamie Cato and the guitarist Dave Randall.

Dido, the famous UK singer, who is sister of Rollo, took part in the first three albums of Faithless before shooting to stardom herself.

In 1995 Faithless put out their debut single, Salva Mea, which became one of the most significant house pieces of the 1990s and was sold in more than one million copies worldwide.

It was followed in 1996 by their debut album, Reverence, containing Salva Mea and the smash hit Insomnia.

For Reverence, Faithless won a Grammy Award for best international dance act in 1996.

The album Reverence/Irreverence contains remixes of the tracks in their first labum.

The phenomenal success of Reverence was followed in 1998 by Sunday 8 PM, from which came out yet another great hit, God Is a DJ.

The single went straight into number 10 in the UK music charts and was nominated for a song of the year by the European MTV. God Is a DJ was also in the selection for best song of the prestigious Mercury Awards.

In June 2001 Faithless released their third album, Outrospective, containing an eclectic mix of house, hip-hop, blues, soul and ethno.

Shortly after that, Faithless released an album with remixes, Reperspective, among which was God is a Beckham, the BBC football World Cup theme.

For their concert in Sofia Faithless arrive with their lead signer Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss (keyboard), Aubrey Nunn (base guitar), Sudha Kheterpal (percussions), Andrew Treacey (drums), Nemo Jones (guitar) and Leigh Kenny - LSK (guest vocals).

Faithless are known as one of the best live performers with numerous tours reaching the remotest corners of the world and have great influence on other contemporary musicians and bands.

Tickets can be obtained at http://jobtiger.bg/faithless/, the ticket centre of NDK, the box office of the Winter Palace of Sport, and the Music Zone music store in Sofia.
