Sir
I am quite distressed at the level of journalism that Ms. Alexandrova displays in writing the article you published last week.
The story about Roma payments is one-sided and poorly researched. The article does not interview any Roma representatives, contains very few facts and is in the end one-sided. I do believe that The Sofia Echo owes its readers another article soliciting Roma responses to this view point. It would be wise to also include some facts in the next story - for example, detail exactly what percentage of Roma do not pay their heating and why compared to what percentage of ethnic Bulgarians do not pay their electricity and why. Perhaps you could even compare incidences of ethnic violence against Bulgarians to incidences of ethnic violence against Roma before conveying the opinion this article does.

Alexandra Alexandrova replies:
Dear Mr. O'Riordan,
Thank you so much for your sincere reaction. I believe your response will only attract even more readers to my article on Roma payments or at least those of our readers who might have not read it and are interested in a more unconventional perspective on the issue.
